ALMUNECAR is the tourist capital of the Costa Tropical. The size of the municipality provides a great number of beaches separated by rocks or outcrops. A characteristic white town with its arched entrance has an ample festive calendar throughout the year and offers a wide range of leisure activities such as an Ornithological Park which houses around 200 species of exotic birds, the Majuelo Park which is a botanical and archaeological area plus a tropical water park with its whirlpools, slides and hydrotubes. This interesting town offers lovely views of both sea and countryside.
