FRIGILIANA is some 5 kms inland from Nerja. It encompasses 39-74 square kilometres within which live 2,200 people all the year round. Because Frigiliana is a popular tourist destination, and because there are many holiday homes here, the population nearly triples during the summer months. This picturesque village is steeped in history and dates from prehistoric civilisations. Frigiliana is a delightful, quaint Spanish village with narrow winding streets. Given its elevated position it offers stunning mountain and sea views. Properties are of the typical white washed style many of which are town houses and apartments. New developments are in progress with completion soon. There are also properties available in the countryside - referred to as the campo though these can be quite remote but offer tremendous views and privacy.
