The Area

This beautiful and historic area of Andalucia offers miles of beaches including the resort of Nerja along to Torrox Costa and beyond with many tranquil costal villages. This region is also surrounded by stunning panoramic views with an array of charming villages, some almost untouched by tourism. Villages such as Frigliana, Maro, Torrox Pueblo and Competa display the typical whitewashed houses and apartments set in characteristic narrow winding streets. Larger towns such as Velez Malaga steeped in heritage and Torre del Mar which up until the 1970’s was only a small fishing village. Other areas include Lake Vinuela, Almunecar, La Herradura. - plus many more. Should you wish to explore further afield, the excellent road network brings other parts of Spain within easy reach. Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba and the Sierra Nevada Mountains are but a few hours drive away.

THE AREA: We cover the area situated to the east of Malaga in the region of Andalucia. It is within easy reach of the airport along the Autovia (motorway) between 47 & 50 kms. Transfer time is around 40-60 minutes depending on the actual location.

THE PROPERTY MARKET: Property prices have risen during the last few years but it is still possible to buy an apartment for under 100,000 euros and a village house to reform for around 90,000. Refurbished properties sell for around 120,000 and upwards. Location, views etc. can have a marked influence on price.

The Spanish are very friendly and maintain their traditions and culture. Throughout the year many villages and towns host lively, colourful fiestas where everyone is invited to enjoy music, dancing, equine displays, local food and local wine.
